Ghaziabad: An incident of a wild leopard entering the premises of the Ghaziabad District Court in Uttar Pradesh caused chaos and alarm. The animal was reported to have attacked a cobbler outside the office of the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court, leaving several individuals injured. Upon receiving the news, a swift response was executed by the police and forest department, who quickly arrived at the scene to capture the animal.
Leopard leaves several injured
The leopard entered the court premises around 4 pm and made its way into the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s office located on the first floor. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the animal was highly agitated and was creating a ruckus, causing panic and fear among the people present. The leopard attacked a lawyer and a show polisher sitting outside the premises too.
Immediately after the attack, the injured individuals were taken to the hospital for medical attention and treatment. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of the people in the vicinity, especially since the presence of wild animals in urban areas is becoming increasingly common.

A team of 12 Forest Department officials arrived on the scene around half an hour after reports of a leopard entering the Ghaziabad District Court premises were received. Equipped with nets and cages, the team immediately set to work on rescuing the wild animal. The ground floor of the main court building has been cordoned off and hundreds of people, including court staff, employees, and lawyers, have gathered outside to observe the situation. The Forest Department officials have now entered the main building of the court, where it is believed the leopard is still present.
