Chandrayaan 3: Congratulations flowed in from every corner of the globe when Chandrayaan-3 effectively touched down on the lunar surface on Wednesday. International dignitaries extended their felicitations to India for its extraordinary feat in the world of lunar exploration, marking India as the pioneering nation to successfully deploy a lunar rover on the southern pole of the moon.
Chandrayaan 3 Reaches Moon
Having fulfilled its primary mission, the rover will dedicate the next two weeks to analyzing the lunar composition near its south pole. Notably, this achievement marks the space agency as the pioneer in successful landings within this region. In contrast, the Russian space agency’s recent endeavor to land in the same vicinity ended in failure, with the Luna-25 craft crashing into the lunar surface and meeting destruction.
Chandrayaan-3 has traversed a considerable distance on its voyage to the Moon, commencing its expedition on July 14th by taking off aboard the LVM3 rocket from India’s primary spaceport, Sriharikota, located in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. In Johannesburg, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov personally conveyed his congratulations to his counterpart, S Jaishankar, during a gathering. Several other world dignitaries and space angecies congratulated India for the historic achievement.
