‘Your 20-25 MLAs Will Join Us’: Maharashtra BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule claimed that 20 to 25 opposition MLAs would join the BJP if the opposition’s no-confidence motion against the assembly speaker is tabled.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde answered the questions of the opposition

At the same time, on Friday, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde answered the questions of the opposition. Responding to the opposition in a poetic manner, he said, ‘I am silent yet everyone is aware, if the matter comes out then it will go far away.’ He said that even tolerance has a limit. He said, ‘On whom are you accusing so many things? I know everything I am not the type who stays indoors and lets others fight.’

Shinde said, ‘How can 50 people make mistakes?’ he asked, apparently referring to the Shiv Sena and independents who had deserted Uddhav Thackeray to be part of the new government. He said that the time has come for people to know who has actually inherited the political legacy of Balasaheb Thackeray. Shinde also accused the previous government of lack of investment, scams and slow development of the state.

Journalist, Opposition Leaders Arrested

The chief minister dismissed allegations of police atrocities against political opponents. He said there was a time when journalists, opposition leaders and anyone who spoke against the MVA government were arrested. Now, some people are saying a lot against us. Have we arrested them? The budget session will start from February 27 in Mumbai.
