3 Upcoming Electric Vehicles: In recent years, the Indian market has become more receptive to electric vehicles (EV). The importance of a car’s safety ratings has increased recently, and many models have received results that are nearly perfect. We have created a list of upcoming electric cars in India (launches planned through the end of the year) that received 5-star ratings in crash tests performed by Euro NCAP while keeping these two things in mind.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

The premium electric vehicle from Hyundai, the Ioniq 5, is anticipated to arrive in India. The cost of the Hyundai EV, which will be sold through the completely built-up unit (CBU) route, is anticipated to be around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Ioniq 5 received five stars in both the adult and child occupant protection categories in the Euro NCAP crash tests. It received 33.8/38 for protecting adult occupants and 42.6/49 for protecting children.

Atto 3 by BYD

The recently unveiled Atto 3 will be BYD’s second vehicle for private purchasers in India. Its launch is scheduled for December, but deliveries of the SUV, which are anticipated to cost Rs 30 lakh, will begin in January 2023. (ex-showroom).

BYD’s electric SUV underwent three evaluations during the Euro NCAP crash tests: front, lateral, and rear. It received five stars for occupant protection for both adults (34.7/38 points) and children (44/49 points).

EQB Mercedes-Benz

The Mercedes-EQ EQB is anticipated to be the next luxury EV to enter the Indian market. With a starting price of Rs 50 lakh, we anticipate the automaker to introduce it in December 2022. (ex-showroom, if brought via the CKD route).
