In a touching story from Kerala, Arun Kumar, a kind ambulance driver from Karunagappalli, went above and beyond to fulfill West Bengal’s Bodhini Pahan last wish. Arun’s commitment and expertise made sure that Bodhini’s medical condition and the 2,870-kilometer travel from Mainagapalli hamlet in Kollam to Raiganj in West Bengal went without any problems.
Arun’s Remarkable Journey
On April 22, at 7 a.m., Arun and Bodhini set out on their trip to take the patient to his hometown in West Bengal. Arun expertly navigated the roads of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha, completing the enormous distance in a mere 60 hours.
Challenges and Determination
Arun never wavered in his commitment to ensuring Bodhini’s safety during the lengthy drive, even though he was running late. Arun’s commitment remained unwavering, with only the needed pauses for refreshments and refules. Arun expeditiously coordinated the stops to accommodate Bodhini’s meals and monitor the condition of the ambulance while tending to the patient’s medical needs.
Gratitude and Warm Welcome
On April 24, at 430 p.m., Arun and Bodhini arrived in Raiganj and were welcomed with open arms. The people in the town went above and beyond to provide lodging for Arun so that he could recover from their exhausting travel. Following a day of rest, Arun embarked on his journey back to Kerala and reached his home state on April 26.
