Credit Cards: Cardholders of ICICI Bank will soon notice significant modifications to their credit card features and prices. These adjustments are being implemented on 21 ICICI Bank credit cards. This follows similar changes that credit cardholders at HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI Card, and a few others experienced in 2023, particularly when it came to limiting access to airport lounges within India. They had imposed minimum spending requirements on some credit cards in order to be eligible for airport lounge access.
New Lounge Access Criteria
Beginning April 1, ICICI Bank credit cards will receive one complimentary airport lounge visit if they spend Rs 35,000 in the preceding calendar quarter. It indicates that spending in the previous calendar quarter will grant access to the following calendar quarter. To be eligible for complimentary lounge access in the April-June 2024 quarter. This revised spending requirement for complimentary domestic airport lounge access will apply to the following ICICI Bank credit cards:

1% Plus Applicable Taxes
From February 1, a dynamic currency conversion (DCC) fee of 1% plus taxes will be levied on each international transaction conducted in Indian currency at an international location, as well as transactions conducted in Indian currency with merchants located in India but registered in a foreign country. These fees will be charged to all ICICI Bank credit cards.
Modification in Reward Points Policy
Beginning February 1, ICICI Bank will refuse to award reward points for rent payments and e-wallet filling with credit cards. Except for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit cards, this modification will apply to all ICICI bank credit cards.
Continued Reward Points on Utility Transactions
On all ICICI Bank credit cards, you will continue to earn reward points on utility transactions. Government activities such as income tax payment, stamp duty, document registration, property taxes, and so on will be included in utility payment transactions beginning February 1. This modification will be applied to all ICICI Bank credit cards.
