Using Fuel Additives
Another typical remedy used by mechanics is to put fuel additives into the tank. The fuel and water are diluted by the additives to make them work. Additives with a methanol base are usually acceptable. However, this technique is only effective when the fuel tank’s water content is low.
Rubbing Alcohol
Using rubbing alcohol is another method for getting water out of the fuel tank. The reason for this is that alcohol will absorb water and sink to the bottom of the petrol tank. It will then proceed through the engine and eventually combust after it has done this.
