YouTuber Elvish Yadav, who was charged on Friday by the Noida Police for allegedly using snake venom at rave parties, released a statement in which he refuted all of the allegations and pledged to work with the Uttar Pradesh Police.
In a statement, BJP MP Maneka Gandhi questioned Elvish Yadav’s whereabouts if he was innocent, given that his NGO had lodged the charge against the well-known influencer. She demanded the arrest of a social media influencer and said that he owned some snakes as well.
Maneka Gandhi demands arrest of Elvish Yadav
She talked to ANI and said, “He should be arrested immediately. This is a grade-I crime – that means seven years in jail…PFA laid a trap and caught these people. He uses endangered species of snakes in his videos. Later we got to know that he sells snake venom in Noida and Gurugram.”
She added, “This is a grade 1 crime, seven years in jail, a wildlife crime. King cobras die when their venom is taken out. Their venom is for digesting food. Without the venom, they can’t eat anything and thus they die. There are very few cobras and pythons in the country. It is a crime to own them, catch them or use them.”
Elvish Yadav replied to her statement
The YouTuber took to his Twitter (X) account to share his opinion on this and he wrote, “Shocked To See Such People Sitting On Such Posts. Jis Hisab Se Ilzaam Lagaye Hai madam ne us hisab ki maafi bhi tayar rakhe.”
