Media reports state that Chandrasekaran earned an annual salary of Rs 65 crore in 2019. It was raised to Rs. 109 crore in 2021–2022. He was the highest paid business executive in India at the time. Under his direction, the Tata Group’s profits increased from Rs 36728 crore in 2017 to Rs 64267 crore in 2022. The Tata Group’s revenue rose from Rs 6.37 lakh crore to Rs 9.44 lakh crore during his five-year term.
Personal Life in Mumbai
The 60-year-old businessman lives in Mumbai with his son Pranav and wife Lalitha Chandrasekaran outside of the boardroom. At the same time that he paid Rs 98 crore for a 6000 square foot duplex in Mumbai‘s affluent Pedder Road in 2022, he was reappointed as Chairman of Tata Sons for a further five years, ending on February 20, 2027. Apart from his business pursuits, Chandrasekaran is a committed marathon runner, an enthusiastic photographer, and the author of “Bridgital Nation.”
