Dhirendra Shastri: The Uttar Pradesh Police have taken swift action by arresting a man who reportedly issued a death threat to Bageshwar Dham’s chief priest, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. The threat, made through a social media post, prompted a complaint from a local Hindu group.

Superintendent of Police (rural) Raj Kumar Agarwal has confirmed the arrest of Anas Ansari for posting a death threat to Dhirendra Shastri on Instagram, after the post gained viral attention on the Internet.
The threat is being treated with seriousness by authorities, who are currently investigating potential links between Anas Ansari and terrorist organizations. The police have promptly taken action by arresting the accused after a case was registered at the Hafizganj police station, as confirmed by SP Dehat Rajkumar Aggarwal. The arrest is intended to safeguard Dhirendra Shastri from the threats he has been facing, ensuring his safety and security.
Previous Threat and Controversial Remark
This arrest follows a previous incident in January when a death threat was conveyed via phone to Lokesh Garg, Baba Bageshwar’s cousin. An unknown caller inquired about preacher Dhirendra Krishna Shastri and threatened to take his life before abruptly ending the call.
