Dhirendra Shastri: Raksha Bandhan is a traditional Hindu festival that celebrates the bond of love and protection between siblings. It is a time when sisters tie a sacred thread, known as a rakhi, around the wrists of their brothers as a symbol of their love and prayers for their well-being. However, in a heartwarming twist, two sisters from Guna are planning to tie a 42-inch rakhi to the revered Bageshwar Maharaj Pandit Dhirendra Shastri on this auspicious occasion.
Deets about the Rakhi
Lakhi and Pinky Saxena, two members of the Bageshwar Dham Women’s Committee, have dedicated the last two months to crafting a unique rakhi. This rakhi is made from silk and measures 42 inches or three feet in length. Lakhi Saxena expressed, “Our intention was to create something extraordinary for Bageshwar Maharaj, as he is a revered spiritual guide and a source of inspiration for countless individuals. We sincerely hope that this rakhi will convey our deep love and respect for him.”
Where will they tie the rakhi?
Bageshwar Maharaj, the head of Bageshwar Dham, a spiritual hub in Guna, is renowned for his teachings on spirituality and dedication to social service. With a global following of millions, the sisters plan to visit Bageshwar Dham on Raksha Bandhan to personally tie the rakhi on Bageshwar Maharaj, expressing their confidence in his appreciation for this heartfelt gesture.
