Diwali 2023: This year Diwali is on 12th November. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Diwali is celebrated with great pomp across the country on the Amavasya date of Kartik month. Diwali Date and Time
There is a tradition of celebrating the festival of Diwali on the new moon day of Kartik month. Lakshmi-Ganesh worship has great importance on Diwali. Pradosh period is considered the best time for Lakshmi Puja on Diwali. Amavasya Tithi on Diwali will start on November 12 at around 2:30 pm. According to the calculations of Vedic astrology, when Lakshmi Puja takes place on the evening of Diwali, 5 Rajyoga will also be formed.

Apart from this, Ayushman, Saubhagya and Mahalakshmi Yoga will also be formed. In this way, Diwali will be celebrated in 8 auspicious yogas. Astrologers believe that such an auspicious yoga has been formed on Diwali after many decades. Diwali 2023 Tithis
This year, on November 12, both small and large Diwali celebrations will take place on the same day. The Panchang states that on November 12, Roop Chaudas will stay till the morning, at which point the Amavasya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of the Kartik month will begin at 2:30 pm. Scriptures state that Lakshmi worship is always performed on the night of the new moon during Diwali. Because of this, on November 12th, the evening of Diwali, Lakshmi-Ganesh will be worshipped. Amavasya Tithi will only be available on November 13 till 3 p.m.
Diwali 2023 Lakshmi Puja
On the Amavasya day of the Kartik month, people celebrate the Diwali festival. This year, November 12 and 13 will be Amavasya dates for the Kartik month; however, November 12 will only be used for the celebration of Diwali. Since Amavasya Tithi falls on November 12 in the afternoon, Diwali will be celebrated on Sunday night with a Lakshmi Puja. Actually, according to Hindu religious texts, Pradosh Kaal and Amavasya Tithi should always be observed in combination with Lakshmi Puja on Diwali. This is the reason that only November 12th will be used to celebrate the auspicious Diwali.
