Making Changes to Your EPF Profile
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to update your EPF profile:
- Logging In: Log in to the Member Interface of the Unified Portal using your UAN (Universal Account Number) and password.
- Modifying Basic Details: Click on “Manage” and then “Modify Basic Details.”
- Providing Correct Information: Enter the correct details for any of the 11 parameters, ensuring they match your Aadhaar details. The system will verify the information against UIDAI-Aadhaar data.
- Uploading Documents: Unfortunately, currently, there are limitations in the system. Only four fields are available for change, with limited upload options and no list of acceptable documents against each parameter.
Suggested Solutions
It’s recommended to add additional fields with upload options for each parameter along with a list of acceptable documents. This would facilitate smoother processing of requests. Additionally, options to provide clarifications requested by EPFO Regional Offices/Sub-Regional Offices should be incorporated, along with status updates.
Request Submission and Approval
After clicking “Update Details,” the request will be submitted to your employer for further approval. Before submission by the employer, you can withdraw the request by selecting “Delete Request.”
