Passport News: The first e-passport will soon be available to the average citizen of the nation. The Rajya Sabha was informed about this by the PM Modi administration. These chip passports have nearly finished all of their technical testing.

Printing Milestone in Nashik

Indian Security Press in Nashik is printing 70 lakh e-passport blank booklets in its first year of operation. The order to print four and a half crore chip passports has reached this press. The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)-compliant new passport with its 41 advanced features will expedite the immigration process at airports in 140 countries in a matter of minutes.

Inconspicuous Tech Integration

With the exception of a tiny foldable antenna at the end and a radio frequency identification chip on one of the pages in the middle, these will look like the passport booklets that are currently in use. All the information found in the booklet as well as our biometric information will be stored on the chip.
