A gay couple who lives in Hyderabad made their relationship public by putting rings in each other hand. The couple also tied knot around their only close friend and relatives. This private function was held at a resort located away from main city Hyderabad.
Couple — Supriyo Chakraborty (31)and Abhay Dang (34) — held the ceremony where they exchanged rings. The ceremony was completed in Bengali and Punjabi wedding rituals. This happened as the Supriyo, a senior faculty member at a prominent hotel management institute, is from Kolkata. While the Abhay, an MNC employee, is from Delhi.

And the now the eight year long relationship has travelled a long path finally officially they became ‘husband and husband’. The ceremony was officiated by a transvestite person, Sophia David, from Hyderabad.
Senior journalist Kingshuk Nag, who was a guest at the function said “Spent a rather different evening today. Attended a gay marriage at a resort close to Hyderabad between a faculty member of the Institute of Hotel Management and a senior manager of Amazon. The marriage vows were administered by a former manager of Deloitte who is a transvestite. The families of the couple and a large number of their friends were there to witness an event that reflected how India is changing slowly but surely,”.
