Under the Chief Minister’s Vivah Shagun Yojna, it is compulsory to register the marriage on the e-Disha portal. Besides, families have to complete the online registration at shaadi.edisha.gov.in within six months from the daughter’s marriage. Thereafter, all the financial assistance is paid promptly so that it can actually support the expenditure towards marriage.
Inclusive Support for People with Disabilities
The scheme also extends to families where the husband or wife has 40% or more disability. This category is provided Rs. 51,000 by the scheme. Financial help for general or backward castes coming under BPL is given Rs. 31,000.
