Honda Benly e electric scooter: This EV with swappable batteries has some unique features, all you need to know

Honda Benly e: At the 46th Tokyo Motor Show in 2019, Honda debuted the Benly e electric scooter. This e-scoter was created specifically for last-mile delivery services. Now that the electric scooter has been spotted in India, rumours about its alleged launch may start to circulate. Thanks to Lal Krishna, an auto enthusiast, for sharing these spy photos.

Benly e employs a utilitarian design language with a flat back deck and was created primarily for regular pick-up/delivery services. The e-scooter is 1,840mm in length, 780mm in width, and 1,050mm in height.

Honda Benly e Electric Scooter Spied

The four trims of the e-scooter are the Benly e I, Benly e I Pro, Benly e II, and Benly e II Pro. The Benly e I and I Pro are available with a 2.8 kW (3.8 horsepower) electric motor that produces 13 Nm of torque. Both of the seen electric scooters are sporting.

The Benly e II and II Pro, on the other hand, are propelled by a 4.2 kW (5.7 bhp) electric motor that produces a maximum torque of 15 Nm. However, two 48V, 20.8 Ah lithium-ion batteries—referred to by Honda as the “Mobile Power Pack”—provide power to both motor configurations. These battery packs can be removed and switched out.
