Honda CBR150R: In Indonesia, Honda released the 2021 CBR150R in January 2021 in two variations: ABS and non-ABS. A slipper clutch, a golden USD Showa SFF-BP fork, and improved instrumentation are all included in the modified bike’s features list. The engine hasn’t altered all that much. Price range for the motorcycle in Indonesian rupiah is between 36 and 40 million (approx Rs 1.87 lakh to 2.11 lakh).
The freshly patented CBR150R may be coming our way soon, as Honda has stated in an interview that company wants to extend its 150cc offering in India. For all the information, visit this story.
Engine
The same 149cc liquid-cooled 4-valve single-cylinder engine as before powers the new CBR150R. Additionally, both the bore and stroke have remained constant, at 57.3mm and 57.8mm, respectively. The output numbers are 17.1PS and 14.4Nm. Fuel injection and an 11.3:1 compression ratio are features of the engine. The assist-and-slipper clutch is now used to connect it to the 6-speed transmission. Honda employs a diamond-type frame to hold the CBR150R together. The swingarm is attached to a preload-adjustable monoshock that is mounted to the Showa SFF-BP upside-down fork through the Honda Pro-Link system. Petal-style disc brakes with optional ABS are used at both ends to provide stopping power. It has a 100/80-17 tyre up front and a 130/70-17 tyre in the back. With its 12-litre fuel tank topped up, the CBR150R tips the scales at 139kg for the ABS variant, while the non-ABS version stands at 137kg. Ground clearance is a reasonable 160mm and the 782mm seat height is very comfortable.
Variants
Honda offers the CBR150R in two variants: ABS and non-ABS.
Design
The 2021 CBR150R draws design inspiration from the larger twin-cylinder Honda CBR250RR. It gets the same funky split headlight setup but the fairing design is now sharper. The bike has a sporty appearance thanks to the neat, slender tail section that rises up, and the dramatic golden fork.
Features
In addition to the typical speed, RPM, fuel level, and trip meters, the CBR150R has a full-digital LCD instrument panel that displays a fair amount of information, including fuel consumption data and gear position. The bike also has a Showa big-piston front fork with a separate function and a slip-and-assist clutch. The more expensive of the two models comes with ABS, and the CBR150R has LED lighting all over.
Competitors
The closest direct competition of the Honda CBR150R is the Yamaha R15 V3. The CBR competes with the KTM RC 125 to a certain extent.
