How to increase a CNG car's mileage? Check out

CNG Car mileage: Mileage is very important to a car owner, whether they own a private or commercial vehicle. Increased mileage translates into increased revenues or savings. A car powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) can provide double the mileage of a car fueled by one litre of fuel, depending on the technology. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is used in CNG engines in place of fuel or diesel to power the vehicle. They are more affordable, effective, and environmentally friendly. As a result, both private and commercial car owners favour them. But, if you have recently been facing low mileage with your CNG car, then here are a few tips that can help you in this situation.

How to increase a CNG car’s mileage?

Clean your air filter

Taking appropriate maintenance of your car’s air filter should be your first priority. Every 5000 kilometres that you travel, you should change it. The air filter needs to be sufficiently clean for the air-fuel ratio to be optimal and have optimum efficiency because CNG is substantially lighter than air.

Check the tyre pressure

Your car’s sole point of contact with the road is its four tyres. There is more friction between the tyres and the road when driving with improper tyre pressure. Fuel consumption increases as a result of the pressure this friction places on the engine. Consequently, it is crucial to regularly check the tyre pressure, particularly during extreme temperatures and after a journey.

Your car’s mileage will increase if you drive with the proper tyre pressure.

Check for a gas leak

Frequently, little leaks go unnoticed. You must therefore be vigilant for petrol smells. Gas leaks, even little ones, pose a safety risk and significantly reduce your car’s fuel efficiency. To make sure your CNG kit is completely leak-free, install a gas detector.

Check the clutch

Installed within the car’s gearbox, a friction disc serves as the clutch. When the engine power cannot be transferred to the wheels, low efficiency and fuel waste occur, and a worn-out clutch can drastically lower the vehicle’s mileage. It is important that you check the condition of your clutch as a result.
