You no longer need to use paper forms or get signatures in order to make different adjustments to your Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) account as a subscriber. Here is a step-by-step tutorial on the process.

Changes You Can Make Online in Your EPF Account
The EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) allows subscribers to update the following details online:
- Member’s name
- Member’s gender
- Date of birth
- Father’s/mother’s name
- Relationship
- Marital status
- Date of joining
- Reason for quitting
- Date of quitting
- Nationality
- Aadhaar number
Steps to Update Your EPF Account Details Online
- Go to epfindia.gov.in.
- Under the ‘Services’ section, click on ‘For Employees’ and then select ‘Member UAN/Online Service’.
- On the new screen, log in by entering your UAN, password, and the captcha code.
- Once your EPF account page opens, go to the ‘Manage’ tab in the top left panel and click on ‘Joint Declaration’.
- Choose the ‘member ID’ for which you want to make a change.
- Select the necessary documents from the list provided and submit them for verification.
- After submitting your request, it will be sent to your employer for approval.
Steps for Employer to Approve Changes
- Employer Login
- The employer logs in using their employer ID.
- Access Member Tab
- Navigate to the member tab.
- Review Change Requests
- Select the ‘joint declaration’ change request option.
- Approve or Reject Request
- Review the records and either approve or reject the request.
- Forward to EPFO
- Once approved by the employer, the request is sent to the EPFO for final processing.
