Hyundai Tucson: Prices for Hyundai’s top-of-the-line SUV Tucson in India range from Rs 27.7 lakh to Rs 34.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The fourth-generation Tucson is available in two trim levels, Platinum and Signature, and is shipped to India with a long wheelbase. A shorter version is also sold elsewhere in the world. One of its standout features is ADAS, a first for the segment, however it is only offered on the more expensive Signature trim.
Powertrain:
Engine options for the new Tucson include 2.0-liter gasoline and diesel units. The latter is a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that also powers the Alcazar. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission and generates 156 horsepower and 192 Nm of torque. In contrast, the 2.0-liter diesel engine produces 186 horsepower and 416 pound-feet of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automated transmission. Although there is no manual transmission available, the top diesel type does have an all-wheel drive system with three different terrain modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand).
Hyundai Tucson: Design:
In comparison to its predecessor, the new Tucson features radically different style thanks to Hyundai’s “Sensual Sportiness” design language, which is characterised by its sharply cut surfaces. A large dark chrome front grille with jewel-like detailing that spans the width of the nose and incorporates the LED daytime running lamps is one of the Tucson’s standout features. The front bumper houses the primary headlights.
The 2018 Tucson has a striking appearance from the side due to its prominent character lines, wide wheel arches, and body cladding. Outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) to the D-pillar are the starting point of a slick chrome strip that runs above the windows. 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels support it. The new Tucson’s wheelbase is 85mm longer than the current model, giving the occupants greater room.
The new Tucson has two LED taillights in the shape of a T that are joined by an LED light bar. The rear bumper has a faux silver skid plate and a diamond-pattern finish. A roof spoiler that conceals the rear washer and wiper is also added.

Hyundai Tucson: Interior features:
The new Tucson differs significantly from the model it replaces both outside and inside. The dashboard has a wraparound appearance, and touch-sensitive controls have largely taken the place of conventional buttons. The dashboard’s general layout and the four-spoke steering wheel are both extremely reminiscent of those found on the Creta and Alcazar.
Piano black accents surround a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is elegantly integrated into the dashboard. It also boasts a free-standing 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and customised themes.
The touch-sensitive HVAC controls are layered beneath the screen. The automatic gear lever and a few physical controls that operate the heated and ventilated front seats, among other things, are also located in the centre console.
The new Tucson comes equipped with features like dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, an air purifier, 64-color ambient lighting, 360-degree cameras, electric driver seat adjustment with memory function, rain-sensing wipers, reclining rear seats, connected car features, voice commands, Alexa and Google assistant support, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, and a powered tailgate.
