An IndiGo flight hostess can be seen disciplining a passenger in a viral video who is shouting at her. Although the cause of the argument is unclear, it is apparent that it is related to the food served on board. A fellow traveller recorded the video and posted it online. However, the fellow traveller admitted that he “unfortunately” had a lengthy flight from Istanbul to Delhi.

You can see the flight hostess ranting and pointing her finger at a male passenger who is not clearly visible in the footage. My crew is in tears over you. She then strongly informs the passenger that a cart is present and that tallied meals have been lifted.
The passenger can be heard asking, “Why are you yelling?” while the air hostess is shown holding up what looks to be the passenger’s boarding pass and beginning to speak, “We can only serve what your boarding…”
Because you are yelling at us, she replies, appearing to lose her cool. Then, a different air hostess steps in between the quarrelling parties and makes an effort to remove her coworker away from the passenger.

Suddenly losing her composure, she adds, “Because you are yelling on us!” As they continue to argue, a different air hostess steps in between them and tries to take her coworker away from the passenger.

The air hostess responds, “I’m sorry, but you cannot talk to the crew in that manner. She continues by informing him that she has been listening to the passenger with respect and that he should do the same for the personnel. The passenger can be heard asking when he last showed the crew disrespect.
He has been ranting and gesturing at the air hostess, she informs him. The passenger then claims that she is the one who has been shouting at him and inquires as to her motivation. She tries to explain, but he tells her to “Shut up!”
She yells, “You shut up!,” adding, “I’m sorry, but you can’t talk to me like that. Additionally, I work here. When the other traveller claims to be a servant, she responds, “I am an employee. I’m not here to serve you.

Regarding the interaction, the airline released a statement. We are aware of the incident that occurred on flight 6E 12 on December 16, 2022, between Istanbul and Delhi, it read. The problem has to do with the meals selected by some passengers using a codeshare link. IndiGo is aware of its customers’ demands, and it is our ongoing goal to give them a courteous and hassle-free service. We are investigating the incident and want to reiterate that customer comfort has always come first.
