Indian Railways: If you use Indian Railways a lot, you may find this information to be of great use. As per the Railway Manual, in the event that a passenger becomes unwell or experiences any health-related problem while travelling, the Railways would bear the entire cost of medical care until the passenger fully recovers. Indian Railways is in charge of providing medical care in the event of an accident that occurs on the train, at the railway station, or on station property. Notably, the Railways would make sure the affected person gets medical assistance even if they don’t have a valid ticket.
Special Rule of Indian Railways
As per the Indian Railways Manual, if a person reaches the platform or station to travel by train and encounters an unfortunate incident leading to injury, it is the Railways’ duty to provide immediate medical assistance. This applies irrespective of whether the injured person holds a valid ticket. While there may be subsequent action taken against those traveling without a ticket, the immediate priority is to ensure they receive necessary medical care.
