Only a small number of those who apply for the prestigious exam are chosen for positions in the IAS, IPS, and IFS. We’ll tell you now about one such candidate who passed the UPSC CSE exam administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). She overcame her despair, recovered, and passed the test. IAS Alankrita Pandey is her name.
IAS Alankrita Pandey’s UPSC achievement and cadre transfer
IAS Alankrita passed the UPSC 2015 test on her first try, earning an All India Rank (AIR) of 85. IAS officer from the class of 2016. She had been assigned to the West Bengal cadre at first, but after getting married to IAS Anshul Agarwal, she received an inter-cadre transfer to Bihar.
IAS Alankrita Pandey’s struggle with depression and preparation for UPSC
IAS Alankrita is an Uttar Pradesh native. Her path to the UPSC was not simple. She made the decision to study for the UPSC in 2014, but she had to experience a personal problem in the middle of the year. Alankrita previously sought help from friends and family, antidepressants, and anger management classes. She was intended to show up for the preliminary exams in 2014, but she was unable to. She recovered, though, and made the decision to just concentrate on her job. In 2015, she passed the UPSC civil services test on her first attempt. She used to spend 8 hours a day studying. She was employed at an IT firm in Bengaluru prior to UPSC. She received her engineering degree from MNIIT-Allabad.
