Inspirational Story

Inspirational Story: Everyone should consider themselves fortunate if they are living a nice life. Many people have never experienced poverty in India. But when members of this group of society succeed, it’s like a lightbulb moment for them. Ramesh Babu, who is now well-known, was also destitute earlier. With his tenacity and diligence, he soon ascended the success ladder.

From a Small Barbershop to a Fleet of 400 Luxury Cars

India’s “Billionaire Barber” is Ramesh Babu. Ramesh Babu owns around 400 automobiles, the most of which are from high-end manufacturers like BMW, Jaguar, and even Rolls Royce. In contrast to the majority of the billionaires of this generation, Ramesh Babu Barber did not have a golden start in life. When Ramesh Babu was only 7 years old, his barber father P Gopal passed away. He left his wife and three children nothing but a little barbershop on Bridged Road in Bengaluru, having made no money whatsoever. Ramesh Babu’s mother had to work as a servant to help support her children after the abrupt death of her husband left her distraught and impoverished. The money that Ramesh Babu’s mother made each month—possibly between Rs. 40 and Rs. 50—was spent for everything, including clothes, books, fees, and everything else.

Ramesh Babu’s Determination to Support His Family

Ramesh Babu, a “Billionaire Barber,” was only fed once a day as a child. After Ramesh Babu’s father passed away, his mother was unable to maintain the barbershop and rented it out for Rs 5 per day. Ramesh Babu worked odd jobs as a child to help his mother and earn some additional cash. At the age of 13, Ramesh Babu started doing odd jobs like delivering newspapers, milk, and whatever else was available to help support his family. Ramesh Babu completed his ninth grade of study while continuing to work several odd jobs to support his family.

Ramesh Babu’s Journey of Entrepreneurial Success

Ramesh Babu decided against pursuing his studies after his tenth grade and began managing his father’s store. The salon, called “Inner Space,” was located in a retail centre close to the institution where he attended school. It quickly evolved into a stylish style shop. Barber Ramesh Babu decided to get an automobile because he needed to take action. In 1993, Ramesh Babu used his own money and a small amount of savings from his salon to purchase a Maruti Van (Omni) with the aid of his uncle. He made the decision to rent it out when it wasn’t in use because it ended up sitting empty for the majority of the time because he was busy running his barbershop. He had no idea that this would eventually make him a billionaire. Ramesh Babu’s mother had worked for this family since he was a little child, and they helped him land his first business deal with Intel. Ramesh understood the possibility of running a high-end car rental service as he steadily but gradually built up a substantial customer base, so he started to amass a fleet of vehicles.

Ramesh Babu’s Journey from Car Collector to Luxury Rental Tycoon

Ramesh has been collecting luxury cars for more than 30 years and currently operates Ramesh Tours and Travels. He began renting out high-end vehicles years ago, maybe in the late 1990s. Ramesh Tours & Travels is already operating well in Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru, and the businessman aims to expand his service across the nation. After the government opened up the tourism industry in 2004, he entered the luxury automobile rental and self-drive business. Since then, Ramesh Tours and Travels hasn’t turned back. Ramesh Babu spent Rs 38 lakh on a Mercedes E Class luxury sedan, his first investment in a high-end vehicle. Three additional Mercedes and four more BMWs were added to the fleet, which is still predominately made up of Toyota Innovas. His fleet currently comprises of 400 automobiles, including imported Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Mercedes C, E, and S class, as well as BMW 5, 6, and 7 series. He owns a fleet of Toyota minibuses and imported Mercedes vans.
