Jio Prepaid Plan Hike: Significant adjustments to Jio’s prepaid and postpaid plans will take effect on July 3, 2024, as announced. In an effort to improve average revenue per user (ARPU) and increase revenue from its 5G services, the telecom giant raised pricing by almost 12 percent. Although the increase in price was anticipated, many users were taken aback by a major update: Jio will no longer provide unlimited 5G bandwidth with certain prepaid plans.
Introduction of Limited 5G Data on Some Plans
Starting July 3, only prepaid plans offering 2GB or more data per day will include unlimited 5G internet. Plans with 1.5GB of data per day or less will not have access to 5G internet data. Here is a detailed breakdown of the updated Jio prepaid plans:

Exciting New Services: JioSafe and JioTranslate
Adding more value to its revamped plans, Jio is introducing two new applications: JioSafe and JioTranslate. JioSafe is a quantum-secure communication app, and JioTranslate is an AI-powered multilingual communication app. Both services will be available for free to Jio users for one year.
