Lucknow: The enormous fire at the Levana Suites hotel, which claimed the lives of four people, was determined by a joint investigation by the Lucknow commissioner and police commissioner to be the result of negligence.
According to the commissioner’s report, the fire was started by the excise, fire, district administration, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), and Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA). The investigative report also listed the officers and engineers accountable for the fire occurrence.

Reports Suggest Action Against Illegal Hotels
Additionally, the authorities received a list of hotels that were built illegally in the capital of the UP. The report also suggested action against the hotels operating against the rules. The big fire at the hotel deemed to be the result of negligence, according to a report given jointly by the police commissioner and commissioner of Lucknow.
On Monday, September 5, a fire broke out at the Levana Suites in the city’s commercial district, Hazratganj, leaving four people—two of them were women—dead and at least ten others hurt.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, had demanded a thorough investigation into the fire. The LDA discovered that the building broke multiple rules throughout the investigation and suggested taking action against individuals involved.

The hotel’s records are being examined by forensic teams from the police, as well as teams from the administration, LDA, and municipal corporation. Earlier on Tuesday, the Lucknow Police detained the hotel’s owners, Rahul and Rohit Agarwal, and general manager, Sagar Srivastava. A local court has placed them in judicial prison until September 19 and has filed a FIR under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 308. (attempt to commit culpable homicide).
Levana Suites To Be Sealed Off
The local administration has mandated that Levana Suites be sealed off and destroyed in the wake of the fire. The building map for the establishment was not authorised, according to Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob, hence it should be sealed and destroyed.
