Mahindra XUV400: With the Mahindra XUV400, Mahindra is prepared to join the Indian market for electric SUVs. In India, the Tata Nexon EV’s main opponent will be the Mahindra XUV400. The SUV will, however, be longer than four metres. The automaker announced that the Tata Nexon will go on sale on September 8.
The XUV400 is the XUV300’s electric variant, which is highly well-liked in India. The 2020 Auto Expo featured the XUV400 (as eXUV300). Five electric SUV prototypes that Mahindra has unveiled would be available starting in December 2024.
The features and design
The XUV400 will take design cues from the XUV300 in terms of appearance. The front grille and some of the alloy wheels will, however, feature blue accents on the SUV. Additionally, the SUV will display an electric badging. While the grille won’t have an air intake, the headlamps and DRLs will be incorporated

The XUV400’s interior will be organised similarly to the XUV300. The electric SUV will have a coloured MID in addition to a free-standing touchscreen entertainment system. Additionally, the centre console will get a facelift. Black and blue colours will be applied to the fabric upholstery. The Mahindra XUV400 may also include a significant feature called ADAS.
The company has yet to provide information about the vehicle’s battery pack and electric motor, though. The automobile will most likely use a single front-wheel-drive electric engine with a power output of about 150 horsepower. Users may have the choice of several battery packs.
The XUV400’s main competition will be the Tata Nexon EV. The XUV400 is anticipated to have a competitive price. We anticipate that when the EV appears in India, it would cost between Rs 13 and Rs 17 lakh.
