Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: The most affordable automobile on the market in India is the Maruti Alto 800. It’s about to be dropped. We may observe the legendary F8D engine’s retirement after 40 years of service when the Alto 800 gets phased out. The recently released Alto K10 will replace the Alto 800 as India’s most affordable automobile.
The new Maruti Alto K10, which was introduced last month, is one of the most sociable vehicles available. It was released at a time when fewer people are buying compact automobiles. Due to this, Maruti probably announced a holiday sale discount on the recently released Alto K10.
Discount offers
Alto K10 discount offer is in the form of benefits up to Rs. 25,000. This is the lowest that Maruti Suzuki is offering when compared to their other cars. Alto 800 gets benefits of up to Rs. 29,000, while WagonR gets benefits of up to Rs. 40,000. WagonR was the highest-selling vehicle in India which is now overtaken by Baleno.
The Celerio receives the largest reductions because it was the priciest 1.0L A-segment hatchback in our recent comparison. Discounts on Celerio can reach Rs. 59,000, while S-Presso receives the same discount of Rs. 59,000.
It’s not new for Maruti to give discounts on its vehicles. But it’s unexpected that Maruti Suzuki is giving discounts on a recently released model like the Alto K10. Can we expect to see price reductions or discounts across the board any time soon with the car industry only recently starting to recover?
Additionally, the time people wait for popular cars is getting shorter. For instance, the waiting period for the XUV700 has been shortened by a few months. The production of semiconductors is currently at an all-time high. It is practically all hands on deck, and it should soon be able to meet the automobile industry’s chip requirements. Will the current prices remain stable after supply and demand are balanced?
Specifications
The 1.0L K10 engine that powers the Alto K10 can produce 89 Nm of torque and 66 bhp of power. A 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT are available for this engine. The Alto K10 advertises fuel efficiency ratings of 24.39 km/l.
With a starting price of Rs. 3.99 lakh (ex-sh, introductory), the Alto K10 appears to be a good deal. However, as we have previously said, that sticker price is for the base STD model, which is not very well equipped. To have power steering and air conditioning, one feels forced to upgrade to the mid-range type.
