Maruti Grand Vitara: The brand-new Grand Vitara was just released by Maruti Suzuki in the Indian market. The mid-size SUV, which will go on sale later this year, is already quite well-liked. Over 33,000 Grand Vitara reservations have already been made, with 48% opting for the powerful hybrid model, according to HT Auto.
What accounts for the Grand Vitara strong hybrid variations’ enduring appeal? Although we have not yet tested the vehicle, there are a few factors contributing to the strong hybrid variations’ rising appeal.
Fuel efficiency:
When the Indian government issued the BS6 emission rules a few years ago, Maruti Suzuki pulled out of the diesel engine business. Many consumers who wanted the diesel engines’ cheaper operating costs were disappointed by this. Although Maruti aggressively advertised CNG models, many diesel enthusiasts were nevertheless compelled to consider other brands. Or they could delay making purchases. These customers have now discovered an excellent substitute for diesel engines in the Grand Vitara’s powerful hybrid models.
The robust hybrid option offers great fuel efficiency and can provide diesel-like or even better economy in terms of operating costs. Although official pricing have not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that they will be priced similarly to what diesel models would have been if they had been offered.

Automatic is standard with strong-hybrid
While Maruti Suzuki will only offer the Grand Vitara’s strong-hybrid variant with an automatic transmission. Like every other hybrid vehicle on the planet, the Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid, or IEH, will only be available with an automatic transmission. The CVT automatic transmission will be standard on the vehicle. Given the popularity of automatic transmissions, many consumers will probably be pleased to receive one as standard.
The electric mode:
The all-new Grand Vitara will include a pure EV mode, much like all powerful hybrids. This enables the vehicle to run short distances using the charge stored in the hybrid system’s batteries. We are unable to comment on the Grand Vitara’s ability to travel a specific distance with only pure electric power because Maruti Suzuki has not provided such information. However, most electric hybrid vehicles can go between 5 and 20 kilometres in pure electric mode. Those who frequently perform short runs will find this to be especially helpful.
The Grand Vitara’s mild hybrid versions have 114 horsepower as opposed to the mild hybrid’s lesser 101 horsepower. Therefore, even though you spend a little more than the mild hybrid, you get more power, better fuel efficiency, and an automatic. When you compare them all, the Grand Vitara’s powerful hybrid comes out as a more desirable purchase.
