Mumbai and Ghaziabad couples found dead under mysterious circumstances in their bathroom after playing Holi, here’s why

A Mumbai couple residing in Kukreja Towers in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar  was found dead in the bath room of their flat with shower running under mysterious circumstances. Their were no injury marks found on the bodies of deceased Deepak, 42 and Tina Shah, 39. Their bodies have been sent to Rajawadi Hospital for post-mortem. In the meantime residents of the housing society have stated that the geyser could have caused the death, while the police awaits the post-mortem report. In the meantime Police have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR).

Mumbai Couple found dead in bathroom under mysterious circumstances

It has been suspected that geyser leak might have been the cause of death.

Reports have revealed that Deepak had a garment business a couple of years ago but currently was jobless. Police informed that couple had celebrated Holi with their neighbors and family members, and after celebrations went home.

The bodies were reportedly found naked in the bathroom and had no visible injury marks ruling out any foul play.

The incident came to light when a maid who was working for the Shahs and stayed at G wing in flat number 501, arrived for work and rang the bell and no body answered the bell. Maid then called up Deepak’s mother who gave the mobile number of a relative who lived nearby. The Police stated that the relative arrived and opened the door with a spare key.

Police officials have stated that the couple was issueless and had no children and lived alone, appeared to have died while taking a bath.

Ghaziabad couple found dead after suspected suffocation in bathroom

In another incident coming in from Ghaziabad, a couple died when went to take bath together in the bathroom of their house after playing Holi in Agrasen Market area of Muradnagar town. Police have identified the couple as Deepak Goyal 40 and his wife Shilpi 36.

Police have stated that couple after playing Holi went to the bathroom and when they did not come out for long , their children alerted other family members and neighbors.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (rural) Ravi Kumar said,

“They found both of them lying unconscious and took them to a hospital, where the couple was declared dead,” 

Kumar further stated that autopsy report is expected to reveal the exact cause of death.

It is suspected that couple may have died of suffocation due to a gas leak from a geyser. The couple was rushed to a private hospital in Ghaziabad city , where the doctors declared them brought dead.
