Nag Panchami 2023: Nag Panchami is a special day for Hindus where people worship snakes in many parts of India. It is a day to remember and honour snakes as they hold an important place in Indian culture and mythology. On the day of Nag Panchami, people worship snakes and feed them milk. This year Nag Panchami will be celebrated on August 21. The best time to worship is from 05:53 am to 08:30 am. This day has a special place in Hinduism and snakes are worshiped to please Lord Shiva. With this, he is asked for the blessings of the family’s safety.

During Nag Panchami, people are required to follow certain rules. According to Hindu beliefs, it is important not to harm snakes in any way but to treat them with respect. If a snake enters a house or crosses someone’s path, do not kill them. On the day of Nag Panchami, Hindus observe a fast and make offerings such as flowers, milk and sweets in temples. Things to avoid on Nag Panchami

Don’t harm the snake even by mistake.

Do not bring snakes from the forest on this day for entertainment and earning money. It is not fair to do this with the ecosystem.

It is customary to feed milk to snakes on the day of Nag Panchami. Although many snake experts say that milk spoils the digestive system of snakes. Along with this, offering milk in excess can be a waste.

If you come across a snake, keep your distance from it. And keep in mind that you should not do anything to provoke the snake.

Sharp objects like knives, scissors, needles and others should be avoided on this day. Work like sewing and cutting should not be done on Nag Panchami.
