The nine-day festival, Navratri 2021 is going on, with the fourth day approaching, devotees have started preparations. Goddess Kushmanda, the creator of the universe, is worshiped on the Chaturthi date of Navratri. According to Hindu mythology, she was born before the universe came into existence. She created the sun, moon and other planets with her smile. Goddess Kushmanda is depicted with bow, arrow, kamandala, lotus, chakra and other important objects in her eight hands. The name of Goddess Kushmanda is made up of three words- Ku means ‘small’, Ushma means ‘heat or energy’ and Anda means ‘egg’. It means the one who created this universe as a ‘little cosmic egg’. The devotees who worship him are bestowed with happiness, prosperity and disease free life.
Navratri 2021 Day 4: Worship Method
– Take a shower and wear clean clothes.
– Offer vermilion, bangles, kajal, bindi, comb, mirror, red chunari etc. to the goddess.
– Offer malpua, curd or pudding to the goddess as prasad.
– Chant the mantras and complete the worship by performing aarti.
