From observing the fast to worshiping the Goddess, devotees are leaving no stone unturned as we enter the 6th day of Navratri 2021. The special Hindu festival that began on 7 October is set to enter the 6th day, which is dedicated to Maa Katyayani. She is also known as Warrior Goddess who is a form of Goddess Parvati. Mata Parvati took this avatar to kill the demon Mahishasura and that is why she is also worshiped as Mahishasurmardini (the one who slay Mahishasura).
Meanwhile, Shardiya Navratri is the most important Hindu festival, it falls during the months of September/October of the Gregorian calendar. According to the Hindu lunar calendar, it starts from the Pratipada date of the Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. It is a nine-day long festival which is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. Among the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga, each day of Navratri is dedicated to one form.
