Oppo Reno 8 5G: Indians have a wide selection of cellphones priced under Rs 30,000. So, in a market flooded with rivalry from Motorola, Redmi, Realme, Samsung, OnePlus, and Vivo, will the plain Oppo 8 survive? In our comprehensive Oppo Reno 8 review, let’s discover out.
The Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro were both revealed last month. The only 8GB/128GB option of the Oppo Reno 8 is available for Rs 29,999 in India. Returning to the review, let’s first discuss the appearance of the phone.
Oppo Reno 8 5G: Appearance, Design and Build-up
Instead of having rounded borders around the sides, the Oppo Reno 8 sports a box-shaped design. To keep the phone from digging into your hands, the edges are curved. While the bezels on the other three sides of the Reno 8 are extremely thin, the chin bezel is slightly larger.
The Reno 8’s back is made of a single piece of glass that covers the entire rear panel, including the camera island. It has a unibody design. Oppo’s unibody construction, which gives the Reno 8 a premium appearance, was previously only used for its flagship phones.

Colour Variant
Oppo Reno 8 was the later of the two colours available, Shimmer Black and Shimmer Gold. The Oppo logo can be seen on the bottom of the rear panel, but other than that, the back of the phone is completely matte and unadorned. The phone looks luxury, but because its frame is constructed of plastic, it doesn’t exactly have that premium feel.
Weight, SIM tool, case, charging adaptor and more additional features
The Reno 8 5G, on the other hand, weighs about 179 grammes and is quite thin (7.67mm thick). The power button is located on the right and the volume controls are located on the left of the Reno 8. On the bottom, you’ll find the SIM tray, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille. The Oppo Reno 8 has a generally good design and quality; it looks amazing and feels good in the hand. It is important to note that Oppo has also included a SIM tool, case, charging adaptor, and cable in the base.
