Standard Minor Passport Validity
A minor’s passport is valid for five years or until they reach the age of eighteen, whichever occurs first. Minors between the ages of fifteen and eighteen can apply for a ten-year passport that is valid until they reach the age of eighteen. It should be noted that fees vary depending on the passport type chosen, with the ten-year passport costing more than the one valid until the minor turns eighteen. Police verification is required for a ten-year passport.
Eligibility for Ten-Year Passport (Ages 15-18)
Minors between the ages of fifteen and eighteen requesting a ten-year passport, including those with separated parents, living abroad, from Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, or the children of government personnel. Online Fee Payment
After the initial online fees, payments are made using the SBI payment system, with Tatkal requests needing cash payments at the Passport Seva Kendra. Credit cards, debit cards, internet banking, SBI bank challans, and SBI wallet payments are all accepted.
