PM Kisan 17th Installment

PM Kisan 17th Installment: Eligible farmers all around India can receive financial support under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which pays out ₹6000 in three installments per year. Not all farmers, though, are eligible for this program. It is anticipated that the 17th installment will be available in May 2024. The following seven categories of farmers will not be receiving the seventeenth installment:

Institutional Landholders

Benefits are not available to farmers who own agricultural land under institutions' names.

Former and Present Holders of Constitutional Posts

Members of the Legislative Assembly, Members of Municipal Corporations, and Members of Parliament, both present and past, fall under this group.

Serving and Retired Officers and Employees

This covers representatives and staff members of federal and state government offices, departments, and ministries; multitasking personnel, Class IV employees, and group D employees are not included.

Individuals Receiving Higher Pensions

Multitasking employees, Class IV, and group D retirees are not eligible, nor are pensioners receiving a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more.

Income Taxpayers

The PM-KISAN program is not available to farmers who filed income taxes during the previous assessment year.

Professionals

Professionals registered with professional bodies who practice their professions, such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects, are not eligible.

Institutional Employees

Additionally ineligible are those who work for institutions like banks, universities, and public sector companies.

E- KYC

This initiative will not assist farmers who have not yet finished the e-KYC verification process and whose land has not been confirmed.

By May 2024, farmers who qualify for the program will receive a direct bank account payment for their seventeenth installment. The money is essential in helping farmers control farming costs and improve their standard of living.
