Introduction to Kisan Maandhan Yojana
The PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana benefits poor farmers by providing them with a dedicated monthly pension of Rs 3000 starting from the attained age of 60 and leading a life of dignity. Eligibility and Application Process
This scheme is allowed to the farmers who are eligible in all aspects. Applicants are required to own up to 2 hectares or less of agricultural land and their monthly income should not be more than ₹ 15000. They should also be in the age bracket between 18 and 40 years according to the time of application, and they should not be registered as taxpayers.
Farmers will be able to enroll in the Kisan Maandhan Yojana by visiting the official website at maandhan.in. Once on the homepage, they will have to click on “Self Enrollment” to complete the registration using an OTP received on their mobile number, after which they will be able to fill up the online form and submit it. For those applying offline, the similar information through the application forms would be available at government offices or local agricultural departments.
Contribution Details
To enroll for this plan in the month of pension, farmers have to make a contribution every month, which can be from Rs 55 to Rs 200, with consideration for the age factor at the time of enrolment. The contribution is fixed at such an exact amount in such a way that, through constant and timely contributions, by the time the farmer reaches 60 years and above, they should already have a stable pension for financial security.
