PM Modi Unveils Ayodhya’s Transformed Hub! Inaugurates Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and Flags Off Eight New Trains

PM Modi: On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat trains as well as the renovated Ayodhya railway station. In addition, he will open an airport and lay the groundwork for numerous development initiatives for Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Modi’s Roadshow Elicits Enthusiastic Welcome

Prime Minister Modi held a roadshow from the airport to the railway station after arriving in the temple town, and he was welcomed by a sizable crowd that had gathered along its path. At one point, PM Modi waved back at the people he was greeting from his car by opening the door. In celebration of him, people threw petals from flowers and held signs. Along the way, the Prime Minister attended performances by cultural groups.

Roadshow Follows Inauguration of Airport and Train Station

The roadshow was to take place after the airport and train station were inaugurated. The Prime Minister toured the station after it was officially opened. CM Yogi Adityanath, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the railway minister, and other people were with him. Vaishnaw gave Modi a briefing on the station. According to officials, the first phase of the redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station has been completed at an expense of over ₹240 crore.

Ayodhya Dham Junction Boasts Three-Story Station Building

The three-story train station building has amenities including waiting areas, cloak rooms, escalators, food plazas, stores for puja supplies, and lifts. According to the officials, the station building is “accessible for all” and a “green station building certified by IGBC.” The Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express were both officially inaugurated by the prime minister.

PM Modi Announces Six New Express Services

He indicated the presence of six new Vande Bharat Trains. These include the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express, the Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, the Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, and the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express.

PM Modi’s Visit Precedes Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’

In addition, PM Modi will take part in a public event where he will inaugurate and lay the cornerstones for development initiatives for Uttar Pradesh valued at over ₹15,700 crore. Approximately ₹11,100 crore of these projects are for the development of Ayodhya and its environs, and approximately ₹4,600 crore are for other projects involving work in Uttar Pradesh. This prime ministerial visit precedes the ‘pran pratishtha’, or consecration ceremony, of this Ram temple. Here, the temple is presently being built, and the prime minister will be present at the consecration ceremony on January 22.
