Cost and Infrastructure Details
- Ghora Road Depot: Estimated civil work cost is Rs 12.56 crore, with a requirement for four megavolt-amperes (MVA) connections. The cost of these connections, estimated by the Public Works Department (PWD), is Rs 2.25 crore, while PSPCL’s feeder connection will cost Rs 62.89 lakh.
- Hambran Road Depot: The civil work is estimated at Rs 6.01 crore, with two MVA connections costing Rs 1.58 crore. PSPCL’s involvement is expected to cost Rs 1.22 crore.
The cost of civil work will be shared equally between the GOI and the Municipal Corporation. With the necessary groundwork completed, Ludhiana’s civic body is well-prepared to support the fleet of e-buses, awaiting GOI’s signal to deploy them in the city.
