Punjab News: On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reiterated his government's commitment to eradicating corruption and bribery, labeling them as societal ills that can hollow out any community.
In a tweet, CM Mann emphasized that his administration has been fighting these issues with a firm "zero-tolerance policy." He highlighted the government's efforts to provide jobs to youth transparently and without the need for bribery.
"Bribery and corruption are diseases that can weaken any society. Our government has been actively combating these evils. Let us all pledge to eliminate corruption from the country," he urged.
Transparent Recruitment Drive for Youth
CM Mann pointed out that under his leadership, the Punjab government has ensured government job opportunities for the youth without the influence of bribery or nepotism. This approach has garnered widespread appreciation, reflecting the administration’s commitment to fairness and accountability.
By streamlining hiring processes and promoting meritocracy, the government aims to restore public trust and encourage capable individuals to contribute to Punjab’s development.
Call for Collective Responsibility
The Chief Minister called on citizens to actively participate in the fight against corruption. "Eliminating corruption requires collective efforts from all sections of society. Let us pledge to uproot these evils completely," Mann stated.
He encouraged individuals to report corrupt practices and assured that his government would take strict action against offenders. The administration has also launched initiatives to educate the public about the harms of bribery and the importance of integrity in governance.
