Rajasthan CET 2024: Negative Marking Removed

Rajasthan CET 2024: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) has announced a significant update regarding the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (CET) for 2024. In response to candidate feedback and various analyses, the board has decided to eliminate negative marking from the CET exam this year. An official notification confirming this change will be issued by the board soon.

Candidates’ Concerns Addressed

Previously, there was considerable concern and opposition from candidates regarding the inclusion of negative marking in the Rajasthan CET, especially given that other similar exams, such as REET, PTET, SET, and NET, do not have this provision. The removal of negative marking means that candidates can now attempt the paper without the fear of losing marks for incorrect answers.

Exam Schedule and Application Details

The advertisement for the Rajasthan Graduate CET was released on August 6, 2024. Online applications for the CET started on August 9 and will close on September 7, 2024. The CET exam is scheduled to be held on October 21, 22, 25, and 26, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Rajasthan CET, candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 40 years. The CET will be used to qualify candidates for various positions, including Platoon Commander, Jailer, Hostel Superintendent Grade II, Junior Accountant, Patwari, and more. It is important to note that the CET is a qualifying exam and does not guarantee direct recruitment but allows candidates to participate in the main exams for significant state-level positions.
