Ranchi News: Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, declared on Wednesday that his administration would spend Rs. 30 Crore building a skill development college in Ranchi. Speaking at a ceremony when he gave appointment letters to nearly 500 ITI Skill Development College students, he stated that although Jharkhand is one of the most underdeveloped states, his government was committed to encouraging economic activity as well as educating the state’s youth.
Jharkhand’s Focus on Equipping Youth with Technological Skills
“It is an era of technology. Machines are playing a vital role in daily lives and factories… In such a situation, it is necessary for you to be skilled. The government’s special emphasis is on skilling the youth of the state and a skill development college will be set up in Ranchi at a cost of Rs 300 crore,” he told at the gathering. According to Soren, the government’s initiatives to boost the rural economy, particularly those that benefit tribal people, Dalits, minorities, farmers, women, and young people, are beginning to bear fruit. According to him, the administration is continually working to improve the state’s health infrastructure.
Azim Premji Foundation and Apollo Group to Transform Jharkhand’s Healthcare System
According to Soren, the Azim Premji Foundation and Apollo Group have shown a desire to make investments in the state’s healthcare system, including medical schools and hospitals.’ At the panchayat level, educated rural youngsters are being granted permission to run pharmacies. We are working to develop a medical circuit to further reinforce this system. As part of this, pharmacy owners will have access to doctors online, enabling them to administer medications to patients in an emergency after contacting a specialist physician,’ he added. According to the chief minister, the government has already passed legislation reserving 75% of private sector jobs with salaries up to Rs 40,000 for residents of the area. ‘The government of our country has determined that boys can henceforth enrol in nursing programmes. All required steps will soon be finished for this,’ he promised.
