Seatbelt in Rapido rickshaw: Safety standards improve! More than 1000 auto rickshaws to come with seatbelts; details

Seatbelt in Rapido rickshaw: Rapido, a ride-hailing company with headquarters in Bengaluru, will install seatbelts in more than 1,000 auto rickshaws in the Delhi-NCR area in an effort to protect the safety of its users. To aid in navigation in inclement weather, the company will also install rain curtains on both sides of the vehicles.

Rickshaw in these sectors have seatbelts

Seatbelts and rain curtains have already been installed in the auto rickshaws operating in the neighbourhoods of South Delhi (Malviya Nagar, Saket, and Sarojini Nagar), Noida (Sector 6 & Kaushambi Metro), Greater Noida (Knowledge Park), and Gurugram (Sector 30). However, the business will increase the geographic scope of this initiative’s coverage until it reaches its goal of 1,000 vehicles.

Seatbelt in Rapido rickshaw will Improve the safety

Auto rickshaws are somehow a risky means of transportation in India and don’t have the necessary safety precautions. Rapido launched this project in Bengaluru initially, then in Hyderabad and Delhi.
Passenger seat belt use will lessen the incidence of fatalities and injuries in auto rickshaw collisions. It is anticipated that it will convey to auto rickshaw drivers and other ride-hailing services that safety is a top priority.
