Sales of Top 2-wheeler companies: Millions of Indians purchase a new scooter or motorbike every month for personal use. People are focusing on two-wheelers with good features and mileage at affordable rates, and commuter segment bikes or scooters are selling in large quantities. However, there has been a significant increase in demand in recent years for both more potent bikes over 300 cc and affordable sports bikes. Along with Hero MotoCorp and Honda, businesses like TVS, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, and Suzuki have also released multiple motorcycles for motorcycle enthusiasts.
Hero MotoCorp and Honda Sales are always on top
The market leader in India for two-wheelers is Hero MotoCorp. According to the June 2018 two-wheeler sales report, Hero sold a total of 4,22,757 motorcycles and scooters. However, both yearly and monthly sales are declining. Sales of two-wheelers for Hero MotoCorp fell by approximately 9% annually and by 16% month-over-month. Number two on the list is Honda, which sold 3,02,756 motorcycles and scooters in June. The monthly fall in Honda two-wheeler sales was 2.7%, while the yearly decline was roughly 15%.
Suzuki Motor Corporation and RE sales
In June of last year, Suzuki Motor Corporation sold 80,737 motorcycles and scooters, an increase of 18.7% year over year. The company is followed by Royal Enfield, which sold 67,495 motorcycles in India last month, representing a 34% increase year over year. The monthly sales, however, have fallen by around 5%. In the near future, Royal Enfield will introduce more new motorcycles.
Sales of Top 2-wheeler companies: TVS Motor and Bajaj companies sales
TVS Motor, which sold 2,35,838 motorcycles and scooters in the previous month, or in June 2023, is the third most well-known two-wheeler manufacturer in India. TVS two-wheeler sales have increased by more than 22% annually. The monthly sale has also decreased by 6.6% over this time. Bajaj, which sold 1,66,292 two-wheelers in June, is in fourth place. Sales of two-wheelers by Bajaj have increased by almost 33% year over year.
