According to the app-based cab service provider, users of the “Group Rides” function can save up to 30% on their fare. The precise discount varies according on the number of additional passengers they bring.

By sharing the specifics of an Uber journey via messaging applications, users may ask others to join them for the ride. Once they join the trip, these friends or companions can add their own pickup places, and the ride route will be modified with those locations.
