Vande Bharat Train: Indian Railways is expanding its fleet of high-speed Vande Bharat Express trains, and a new route is on the horizon! The government has approved the launch of a Vande Bharat service between Belagavi, Karnataka, and Pune, Maharashtra, offering a faster and more comfortable journey for passengers.
Faster Travel, Enhanced Connectivity
This development comes as a welcome response to the growing demand for improved connectivity between the two cities. While the official start date remains TBA, the Vande Bharat’s arrival promises reduced travel time, boosting not only passenger convenience but also trade and tourism in the region.
Vande Bharat’s Growing Network
This news follows the recent launch of five Vande Bharat trains by Prime Minister Modi in December 2023. Currently, with 82 trains operational, the Indian Railways is actively working to further expand the network and increase their speed to 160 kmph on key routes like New Delhi-Mumbai and New Delhi-Howrah.
