Sources said full-scale dress rehearsals will be held on September 3 and 4. According to sources, 20 peaks will be organized in two days from Saturday to Sunday for 8-10 peaks.
High-Security Measures for G20 Summit Bring Potential Traffic Disruption
It has to be decided that due to prevailing circumstances, the holiday can be extended by one or two more days if Janmashtami falls on 7-9, the plan is to apply restrictions. In this case, Monday can also be declared off. Sources said that schools and colleges in Delhi will be closed during this period. The private sector is being asked to work from home. During this time, the movement of emergency services is released. Some routes are completely closed to the general public for the duration of the peak.
This is because the heads of state of 20 countries and their allies stay in 35 hotels in Delhi NCR, whose high-security organization has already been handed over to the central forces. There are 12 hotels in Gurgaon. One thing to keep in mind while making a decision is that there should be no slack in security or traffic while travelling from Gurgaon to Delhi. According to sources, a convoy of 150 left-hand cars will also land in Delhi along with foreign heads of state.

The G20 summit will be attended by several heads of state and diplomats, including US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron. Most of them will fly to their country on September 11. There are thousands of people in the membership group. That is why agencies are preparing Delhi to be traffic free. In addition, representatives of international organizations such as the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund will also be present.
