3 Sri Lanka cricketers suspended after breaching bio-bubble in England

Three Sri Lanka players in England have breached the bio-bubble protocol and they are now suspended for the remaining of the One Day International against England starting Tuesday.

The three will be flown back home, but it is unlikely the series will be in jeopardy.

“The players have been suspended pending a full inquiry, but have confessed to having gone out,” Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) vice-president Mohan de Silva told ESPNcricinfo. “They are being recalled from the tour with immediate effect.”

A 30-second video has been surfaced on social where the players can be seen on streets hiding themselves.

Sri Lankan team has already lost the 3-match T20 series by 3-0 and now they will face England in the 3-match ODI series. With the top 3 players who were also the confirmed contenders in the playing eleven, the Asian team can be in trouble in the ODI series as well.
