Protests by India’s top wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India’s chief Brij Bhushan Singh gained traction, with Ace boxer Vijender Singh lending his support to them in their quest for justice.

“ I have come here to meet the wrestlers today”
Later, he held a press conference with former Indian discus thrower champion Krishna Poonia, stating that the allegations against Brij Bhooshan Singh were of such serious nature that strong action should be taken against him under the relevant section of the IPC.
He further stated:
“It is condemnable that the prime minister has been silent over the issue. There should be action at the earliest in the matter. Being a boy from Haryana’s Bhiwani, I action under the appropriate section of the IPC,”
Protests gather steam at breakneck speed
On Thursday, India’s several top wrestlers started sit in protests at Jantar Mantar and were lended full support by country;s star wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bjarang Poonia.

Wrestling Federation of India President to hold Press Conference in Nawabganj, Gonda District
Brij Bhushan Singh, BJP MP from Kaiserganj in UP will hold a press conference at Wrestling Training Centre in Nawabganj in Gonda district and has stated that he will “expose” the “political conspiracy” which is being hatched against him.
